There is some fabric that is peeling off the underside of one of our slide-outs. The wait to have it fixed it’s quite some time. Is there something we can do to temporarily work around this until we can get it in to get it fixed, Or should we just let it sit until we can get it fixed? Thank you very much.

I need assistance on how to open up the black box where the seatbelt retractor is located. I need to get my seatbelt repaired and don’t know how to get the black box opened.

Is diesel better than gas if you are going to put 90000+ on the coach when you buy it? Also, diesels are suppose to be more expensive to fix. Are the costs better because of resale of diesel, the longevity of diesel, and the towing?

Intermittent Jacks down warning after vehicle has been parked a few days, Jacks do not appear to be down but pump runs for perhaps 45 seconds indicating it is retracting jacks and then all is well again. Dealer has replaced entire pump/manifold assembly with no change in symptoms. Lippert sent me a pressure switch to change and again it did not eliminate the problem. Now they want a pressure check by dealer which is backed up until August. Your thoughts or suggestions please?

Is it worthwhile to add auxillary fans to the area behind my fridge to move more air to help the fridge run more efficiantly? I have seen up to two added to the upper vent on the side of the slide-out. Just keep hearing it doesn’t help that much. I imagine scopeing out a good spot for placement is the key.

I am having issues with the headlights for the vehicle. When I first start the RV the high beam indicator light is on, when this happens the headlights don’t work and the side cameras don’t turn on when the turn signal is turned on. After the RV is running for a few minutes then the high beam indicator goes out and the headlights work. Recently I was using the RV and the headlights were working, when I went to put the high beams on the headlights stopped working (like when the RV is first started). I pulled over and played with some of the fuses and the headlights started to work again until a few minutes down the road I went to use the horn, the headlights stopped working again. I pulled over again and waited about 15 minutes then started the RV and the lights started to work normally again. What would you advice be to start trouble shooting the issue. I have called many dealerships in the area and Ford dealerships and have not been able to find any place that would look at the issue.

Brian, the left front and left back hydraulic jacks on my class a rv don’t fully retract when I press the store button. They move up an inch or so then I need to use a prybar to help them up. Is there some maintenance I need to perform other than washing the piston with warm soapy water as the manual states?

My RV is stationary in NC. I left in October 2017 and just returned in June 2018. My family had opened up the Sandpiper prior to my arrival, connected water and electric, and had the AC and appliances working. Within two days, the refrigerator (made in 2010) quit cooling. Any suggestions as to how to fix it or check it for issues?

The roof vent for the fridge is only about a 5″ round vent cap. Most all of the others that I have ever seen are the longer and wider vents. Should I replace mine to a larger vent in order to get more vented air flow to the back of the fridge?

What is a good way to do a though cleaning of your black and gray water tanks, we are sure they are empty , but sometimes the gauge shows otherwise, I have hear that sometimes they need a cleaning method other than just emptying and flushing with fresh water ,

    Hi
Our 5th wheel has battery problems. We are 6 weeks into trip and wonder if a stay on 30 amp fried our system
We are now heading back home to try to get repaired as no one can help us on the road – everyone is booked up for at least a week. We are at least 4 days away from our home where we bought our 5th wheel
We are running a trickle feed which was suggested to us as we just need to get home after buying one new battery and havin the other one re-charged. Still dropping power
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you

Fifth wheel tires should be replaced how often. I have been advised every two years for 10 ply but 12/14 last longer.
