Hello Alana,

There is the smaller amp on the control board of the fridge but there will also be a blade fuse on the power center fuse panel you would want to check as well. If the fridge was working but not getting cold enough and now it is not working it could be a few things. There could be a voltage loss so you would want to check the fuses and then the voltage at the power block on the rear of the fridge. If there is voltage there and the fuse on the control board is fine but nothing is still turning on, there could be a problem with the board itself. Check around the cooling unit and make sure there are no signs of yellow residue or ammonia smell, this is a sign of a leaking cooling unit and they can only be replaced not fixed. That wand you are talking about is the thermoster. If you just unplug that and try running the fridge, it should get cold and not shut off. This is a way of testing the cooling unit when you know the 120v element is working fine. If that still doesn’t work, there could be a problem with the cooling unit or the heating element. We have a few great troubleshooting videos on fridges that would be worth checking out that could help you narrow down the problem. I will post a link below. If you are in dire need of a fridge, I recommend picking up one of those small dorm fridges to have on hand to help keep your medication cold. They also make tiny fridges that will hold 6 cans of soda, something like this could work for you and not take up much space. Having something like this can help keep things cold until you can get your main fridge up and running again.

Hello Dan,

To provide more specific information on the best roof dressing for your rig, we need the make, model, and year of the coach? Most RV roofs can be cleaned with Dawn Dish Soap (Blue) but need to be conditioned according to the roof material. DiCor makes a variety of conditioners for EPDM, TPO, and fiberglass. If you have Alpha Systems, they recommend Murphy’s Oil Soap, and ProtectAll has a new conditioner that has UV protection for most surfaces. Check out the various videos we have on cleaning and conditioning your roof on the website.

Thanks,

David
