Ken,

It sounds like the thermistor is bad. This is a very common issue. It uses resistance to tell the control board to stop cooling when temperature has been reached. If it fails internally the board can’t read when to turn off and it will keep cooling forever.

My fridge stops working when the outside temperature gets down to 25degrees and I end up heating the back side up while closing most of the vents off to get it to work. What is wrong with it?
