Deep cycle batteries are designed to be drawn down and recharged, and are rated by amp hours, or how many amp draws you have or hours you can run whatever's drawing power. Their greatest downfall is that they sulfate, taking a battery that should last 5 to 7 years and making it only last 2 to 3.
