Campfire Cooking: One Skillet Breakfast Hash

This recipe is a classic camping breakfast. Made all in one skillet, this breakfast hash can be made in a number of different ways. You can customize this to your personal tastes with different vegetables and meat to make the hash that is perfect for you! This hearty helping of eggs and potatoes will help fuel you for a day of RV adventuring, whether that’s hiking, canoeing, or even just relaxing!

Ingredients:

1 stick of butter
3 potatoes (diced)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1 small onion(diced)
4 eggs
Bacon, sausage or breakfast meat of choice
Salt, pepper, and garlic Powder

Instructions:

1. Brown the Meat
Heat and grease a skillet with 1 tbs. of butter. Add in the meat of your choice, and sauté until browned.

2. Add the Veggies
Next, add in the potatoes, peppers, and onion while stirring continuously. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste as you continue to cook the vegetables.

3. Crack the Eggs
Once the potatoes have browned, evenly spread the hash out into an even layer in the skillet. Choose where you are going to crack the eggs and make a small well the in the hash. Put 1 tbsp of butter in each well and crack your eggs in! Cook your eggs sunny side up, and enjoy!

      Hello Stephen,

      The best way to clean a roof vent screen from the inside is to use a small shop vac or portable vacuum with just the hose and run over the screen.
