I would like to know what fuse or relay controls running lights and dash lights and where it is located at.
Hello Gwise,
It all depends on your chassis. You would have to look at the chassis owners manual to find out what fuses would control them and where they are located. It is different on every chassis and by year. There would be a fuse to power the dash lights but would have different relays for each function light. The running lights are usually connected to a switch and sometimes an auto relay that can be bypassed with a switch. Checking the owners manual for the fuse locations and identities is the only way of finding out.

What is the best way to protect the ice maker and supply line from freezing? Air or anti freeze or both??
Hello,
You can’t really blow all the water out of the icemaker with air, rather remove the line at the icemaker and blow out all the water there and make sure you take out the filter that is usually under the sink. Then run the icemaker through a few cycles until all the water gets out of the interior of it.
Antifreeze works well, however sometimes can leave a slight pink discoloration?

Looking for driver side power window parts for F53 as well as jalousied window crank components…..
The outdoor blower motor squeaks. How do I grease or replace it? Please don’t tell me to take it to a repair shop, I’m in an area where there aren’t any.
Hello Clary,
To provide more specific troubleshooting information on your loud blower motor, I need to know the make, model and year of what outdoor blower motor you are referring to? Most RV do not have an outside blower motor except for the fan motor on a roof AC and those very seldom make any noise. If it is the roof AC, you would need to take off the outer shroud and get access to the motor and shaft, but there are no grease ports and spraying a little silicone lubrication might work for a short term but it usually means bearings going out.

If double glazed windows always fail then why not replace them with single pane and use a different size rubber trim as they are going to fog again and are very expensive.

The roof leaked a lot before I bought this used motorhome. the plywood roof has dry rot and the fabric material has fallen down in the cab. Is there some kind of repair agent that will seal the plywood as is and allow me to apply some kind of fabric material over it so it looks decent.

I would like to install this in my fifth wheel using the existing factory RG-6 cabling. Any issues that you can see would be very helpful. I understand that the outside antenna and the inside antenna need to be approx. 20 feet apart. Using the bedroom RG-6 that was pre-factory installed for Satellite TV, I believe that I can install the inside antenna in the back of the 5th wheel in the living area which would be perfect. Just wanted to find out if you saw any hick-cups with this plan.

I was a seasonal camper last summer and the campground electric was obsolete and power was fluctuating up and down 80-116 and the campground said; That’s normal… No one else has a problem… What problems can this cause to my rv? A/c units and other equipment. I bought a transformer for rv that boosts voltage and I added a surge protector . question 2- should a weight distribution hitch be used? Its about 6000lbs…thank you..
What is the R valve difference when thermo pane windows are added?
Forgive me Dave, if I omitted info you need. In short, I would like to replace my analog furnace/a.c. thermostat with a dual digital thermo. However, believe I was told somewhere down the line that it’s not just a switcheroo on the thermo itself? Instead, also have to switch out the mainframe or computer module on the ceiling, is that right? Now that could be costly I might suggest? Can’t stand analog and want to go digital and set settings EXACTLY AS i WANT and also to schedule on/off times, etc. Thanks! BN
