The new RV door from Lippert is great! And it was so easy to install. The directions are excellent. In addition to the door and screen door, there are very cool accessories available that take camper doors to a new level. Check out the replacement RV doors available from Lippert.

Remember a while ago, I took the old door out of this camper, and that took a little engineering, figuring out how to get that door removed. Lots and lots and lots of screws to come out. There was caulk residue left on the camper, I had to get all of that cleaned up. So that's taken care of. The opening is ready for the new door. The new door is here from Lippert RV, and this is gonna be a crazy cool upgrade. I'm real excited about it. One of the things that's neat is, if you remember on the old door, there was just a tiny, little handle here for when you're stepping on the step and you're going up into the camper that you could kind of assist yourself with. On our new door, we're gonna have a much more significant handrail, railing, puller-upper, in order to get in and out of the camper. That alone is a really, really nice change. So, I'm gonna get started on this by doing a little bit of work with putty tape, caulk, then we'll be ready to hang this door. This is cool. You know and it's neat the way that it just slips into the opening like it's supposed to. Follow the instructions on the caulking procedure, very, very, very clear. And doing a little positioning check here, and then we're ready for a couple of screws. Now, again, just follow the owner's manual, follow the instructions. There's a specific sequence of events in which, during which, for which, the screws go in. Pretty simple. I'm just gonna double-check the door here and then run the rest of the screws in. Again, advice to read the owner's manual, all of the instructions for this. It fit. And our screen door. That is so cool. I'm thrilled with this. I'm so happy with this. All right, let me, I'm gonna finish driving screws. I'm gonna finish screwing around. And then we will come back and accessorize. First accessory I'm gonna hit on is the screen defender. This is just what it sounds like. What a great name. It's a very robust screen, that's gonna go in front of the screen. So you can imagine if the screen door were closed and you had an animal, probably a dog, that was nosing against this all the time, it's gonna probably pressed through that screen. You may have had this happen to you on screen doors in your camper and/or in your house. So this is crazy simple. Insert, swing it up, a couple of spring loaded connectors there. And now when your dog comes up to this looking at that squirrel outside or another dog, it's gonna end up up against this instead of your mosquito net, saving that mosquito screen. Next on a screenshot. What that's gonna do is go on the door here and then that's gonna help keep the screen door closed. So, install is simple. Get it into the door. And then to keep it in this position, couple of screws will retain it. And then what makes this work is this. That's connected to a spring on the other end. So next up, I'm just gonna come around, get fastened into the jam. There. So now the benefit to this is... Kids, close the screen door! You won't be yelling that any more. Our next door upgrade is actually on the door on the back of the camper. This is where that the three bunk beds were in here and it's gonna end up with being set up for the new bedroom back here. So I've got the old window out of this, and that was an old weird piece of just like pebbly frosted glass. I've got a new Lippert frame and that's gonna go into that existing opening. I didn't have to modify the opening at all. And it's got sealant on it. So we're set there. Now it came with a smoked glass, smoked tempered glass. So next we can do the glass and the other frame component from the inside. And this is cool. It's not, it doesn't take any screws to put this together. This part has got components that will barb into, snap into, this component and that's what's gonna bind everything together. Here's my new glass. Sealant, again, is already in place. And then... You can hear as I'm squeezing, that's those barbs. There, there. That's pretty cool. Okay, now that that's in, we can get shady. Check this out. So that new thin shade just slips into that frame. There are binders top and bottom, catches top and bottom to hold it in place. That's crazy cool. On the back door we've got our new window and a cool shade. Here, on the main door, we've got our screen defender, it's gonna to keep Rover from pushing his or her nose through the mosquito. We're also self closing on that screen door. This is such a nice upgrade and simple to do. So, I think that we can close the door on this chapter on the RV. I love that.
