Can a dual axle travel trailer 20ft get a wheel alignment. One tire on right rear is showing a approx 2 inch wear line.
Hello Dennis,
Thank you for contacting us.
Unfortunately there is no alignment that can be done. The axles and assemblies are solid that are connected to welded brackets. If there is uneven tire wear it is from uneven load placement, low or high tire pressure or there is an issue with the axle or hanging brackets. There are measurements that can be taken to check to see if the brackets are the issue or if it is the axle. Most of the time the axle is the issue. There could be camber loss or another issue like the leaf springs. Other than checking the components and replacement of what is found bad there is nothing else that can be done to correct the tire wear. I would check the spacing from the inside of the backing plates for the brake assemblies from the top and bottom to the opposite side and compare it to the other axle. If there is a larger gap on the axle with the issue, the axle lost it’s camber and needs replaced.
